What do you associate Sweden with? The battle of Poltava, the ABBA group, the Swedish family or the Swedish wall? And this is also the birthplace of Anna Johansson, a doctor who made a real revolution in the field of nutrition, when she came up with a diet called the "6 Petal Diet".
The essence of the diet
You can calm down immediately, you do not need to separately eat six petals a day, the diet is more varied and, in principle, does not include eating flowers. Although Dr. Johansson promises that in a week of her diet you can lose 5 kg, this seems like an amazing result.
A single petal is a day of the diet, when you can only eat a certain amount of a food. The sequence of the dates is very important, so you can even draw yourself a flower with six petals, write on each menu and serial number, and strictly follow the recommendations.
By the way, this is the convenience of this diet. No need to guess what to eat. You are clear about your diet in the coming days.
To some extent, this is a mono-diet, but the body doesn't have time to get used to a food and go into energy-saving mode. In addition, studies have shown that a single diet lasting less than a day is the most effective for burning fat.
Results in this diet are achieved through protein-carbohydrate rotation and reduced calorie intake. You eat the same food every day and don't mix protein with carbohydrates, which allows you to break down fat more efficiently.
How can you cook food
Food can be boiled, stewed, grilled, or steamed, but absolutely not fried or added oil. In addition, the author suggests limiting coffee consumption to 1-2 small cups per day. Of course, there is no way. According to her, it is better to drink tea or mineral water without gas in an amount of at least 1. 5 liters per day. But under no circumstances should you drink liquid food, just 30 minutes before a meal or an hour after.
And so that the feeling of hunger does not overwhelm you, divide the food into 4-5 servings. And you don't have to stick to fixed intervals. Want to eat? Went and ate some. Well, or drink green tea.
You can stick to the diet for two weeks in a row. But don't forget to rest for at least two weeks before doing the next one.
Given all this, the diet is contraindicated:
- Pregnant;
- lactating mothers;
- With diseases of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, heart, endocrine system (especially diabetes);
- Anemic;
- With infections or immediately after being sick;
- Exacerbation of any chronic illness.
And yet, although this is not a direct contraindication, it will be difficult for you to follow such a diet if you go to work. Therefore, you'd better save it for a vacation.

Saturday Petals
No, this is not an optical illusion. And, yes, you read the name of the diet correctly. There are actually six petals and you need to alternate six types of diets, but one important thing is to get out of the diet. The day you realize you can do anything.
The main thing on this day is not to let loose enough to regain half of what was lost. Someone advised you to get out slowly and advise now to only eat the foods that you already eat on the diet, just increase their portions a bit.
Advocates of radical methods say the easy way is not for us and suggest setting aside Saturdays on the water. Which of these two options do you prefer - choose for yourself.
Of course, you can just wave and plunge into the world of delicious cake once again.
Why dieting is good
Will this diet help you if you decide to lose weight? Certainly yes, the Swedes did their best. If you try, you will lose 0. 6 - 0. 9kg per day.
Can you survive it without problems? Also a positive answer. The diet is quite simple and allows you to eat enough without having to look long and eat a piece of bread.
However, for all its effects, "6 petals" still won't solve your future dietary problem. The six days of the diet will pass, and you will return to your normal diet, and it will return the lost kilos to you. So even if you're on this diet, it's best to see it as an opportunity to take a step towards a healthier future.
